What is the 2005Utah Tour of Solar Buildings?

The annual Utah Solar Home Tour allows those interested in alternative energy access to homes whose owners are successfully using these forms of heat and power.

The Utah tour, now in its fifth year, is affiliated with the American Solar Energy Society’s annual National Tour of Solar Buildings.

The statewide tour is self-guided, which means you can show up at any of these homes between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8. Home-owners will be on hand to explain their system’s capabilities and benefits. We suggest a route, but feel free to visit any or all of the homes.

Although called a Solar Building Tour, the homes and buildings featured on Oct. 8 offer a variety of heat and power sources, including wind.

The American Solar Energy Society sponsors the tour nationwide.

41 other states are sponsoring their own tours on this same day.

Here's what the ASES says about the 2003 National Tour
of Solar Buildings:

This fall, home and business owners throughout the U.S. will open their solar buildings to the general public for the American Solar Energy Society's 2003 National Tour of Solar Buildings. Take the tour and see for yourself how solar energy works for real people in real places.
